Day 1

Your 8-day and 7-night adventure begins when you land in Phoenix, Arizona, the heart of the Valley of the Sun.

The southwest offers the most amazingly painted evening skies Mother Nature has to offer. Beautiful golden hues of orange and brilliant fuchsia illuminate this greater Phoenix area sunset.

You will travel via air-conditioned motor coach to Montezuma Castle National Monument, an 800-year-old cliff dwelling, sculpted into the limestone rock by ancient former inhabitants, the Sinagua Indians.

Once you arrive in Sedona, you are quickly taken in by the region’s main attraction, the vast expanses of red sandstone formations. The formations appear to glow in brilliant hues of orange and red when the rising or setting sun illuminate throughout the world famous rock formations. Sedona is a veritable “geographic wonderland” and sure to make your heart leap with wonder.

Day 2

Experience the desert outback with a guided off-road adventure and get up-close and personal with the unique nature and landscape of the Grand Arroyos region.

Located in the upper Sonoran Desert of northern Arizona, Sedona has an elevation of 4,500 feet and has mild winters and hot summers ideal for travel year-round. Your Adventures by Disney package allows you plenty of time to explore the various dining options, quaint shops and art galleries located in downtown Sedona.

The Sedona art gallery scene is abundant and boasts over 40 art galleries and artist studios. The city is littered with works of art, some are even interactive.

After a day of exploring the rock formations, you will be joined by an area astronomer who will guide you through an exploration of the starry desert night.

Day 3

Take time to pause during the short 100-mile journey North with a stop in Williams, Arizona located at the base of Bill Williams Mountain. This stop will fill your curiosity about the legendary Route 66 and comes complete with a scenic railway, kitschy dining and shops offering plenty of photo opportunities to show-off that you indeed, got your kicks on Route 66!

Just a few miles up the road you will get your first glimpse of Mather’s Point located on the south rim of the Grand Canyon. Prepare for more heart-leaping scenery as your breath is taken away by the sheer grandeur of this beautiful wonder of the world.

When you arrive at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, your private guides will lead you along the trail to the Mather Point vista.

Next up is Bearizona. This amazing 160-acre preserve nestled in the Ponderosa Pine Forest allows visitors to view many large North American animal species in their natural habitat. Guests tour the park in their private vehicles or guided safari busses. How does enjoying your lunch as you sit next to the jaguar enclosure sound? Your visit will continue as you become immersed in the birds of prey afternoon show.

Finish the day attending an authentic Western BBQ dinner as you enjoy majestic views from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. An exclusive Native American dance performance is the perfect way to finish the festivities of the day.

Day 4

Today is committed to the Grand Canyon where you will partake in a fully immersive and privately guided tour led by a naturalist guide. Be sure to bring your camera to capture the spectacular vistas overlooking this natural wonder of the world.

Day 5

Journey to Monument Valley, where the spellbinding scenery of the shadows projected off of sandstone masterpieces reaching 400 – 1,000 feet high dance across the desert floor.

Fun Fact: Monument Valley has also been the backdrop for hundreds of Hollywood feature films and sure to delight the Cowboys and Cowgals in your family!

Day 6

You will then find yourself exploring Arches National Park, north of Moab in the state of Utah. Bordered by the Colorado River in the southeast, Arches National Park is known as the site of more than 2,000 natural sandstone arches.

After your tour of Arches National Park, you can take some time to explore the intriguing downtown area of Moab.

Day 7

Your journey through the southwest isn’t over yet! Hold on tight as you brave the rushing rapids of the Colorado River!
